Like I always say... those little angels are everywhere... and they come in the least expected forms :-)
I was talking
to WCWW in the front row, and they were right behind the security guard. So-
I told him that I was in the eleventh row, and that I was wondering if I
could come up and dance with him in the first row for one song. He smiled
and told me to ask another guy. Now- this guy I will cal Randy Jackson,
because he looked just like him (the guy from American Idol) except he was a
lot meaner looking. I was scared to ask him, but I thought HEY!! WHAT THE
HELL!!! So I asked him. He gave me the meanest look and told me that if he
wasn't in such a good mood he would embarrass me in front of everyone by
yelling at me. I said thanks anyways, and walked away. He called me back
over a minute later and asked to see my ticket. I was freaking out because I
thought he was gonna kick my ass out. But then he said, "ok- I'll see
what I can do" I stopped breathing and just stared at him and was like
"oh my god- really?" he said if I started to freak out he would
not do anything- so I took his advice and went back to my seat. A bit later
(this was all b4 the show) he came over and asked me my name. He said,
" I just wanted to know who to look for" so he left again and I
was like- ok- what the hell? So then- he came back and gave my the huge pic
with the autograph. It says
Gabby-
peace
Melissa Etheridge
I freaked out and hugged kumquat and called Simone- it was so exciting!
Ok- so I got the pic, and I was satisfied- for life. Even now I am convinced
that I can never go to another show because this one just can't be beat.
Anyways, about halfway through the show, Randy Jackson came to my seat again
and said, "c'mon-now. let's go" Yet again, I was confused out of
my mind by his tone because he sounded sooo mean, but I went with him
anyways. (lol- I have no fear) So- he lead me towards the back of the
center, to stage left, and then lead me to the stage. He held out his hand
and said- "Go" and pointed for me to go into the front of row 1
and to the center. I walked there in disbelief and didn't quite make it to
the center, but close enough!!!!! I was there for a lot of the concert, I
can't remember how much. I got to shake her hand and when she saw I was up
in the front she laughed and had this look on her face like "how did
you get here?" It was really funny. Finally, when Giant was done and I
finally remembered "oh- my mom is still back in her seat" and I
went back there, but not before giving the first security guard a hug, and
shaking Randy Jackson's hand and telling him that what he had done meant the
world to me. I think he actually might have smiled, but I'm not sure. He
said it was no problem, he was glad he could make my day. More like my year!
Anyways- it was an excellent concert. One that I will never forget.
Lots of love,
