I have been a fan of melissa from 94, and been a member of her fan club since 95, so I have a long history of loving melissa.    :-)

Last night in canadaigua was like a dream come true!!!!!

When we first went there we had lawn seats.....then since I wanted to be in there so bad.......Nancy decided to go and see if there were any seats available so we could upgrade our seats to be in the inside shell........well, there were.......and we ended up in the 15th row center........directly on the center aisle......talk about great seats for getting them last minute....I knew I was going to be able to see perfect for the show....

Well, after garrison starr, we went to our seats.......and sitting right in front of us....in an empty row was this very large security guard....he was just sitting there......and Nancy asked him if he was going to be sitting there the whole night........and he answered.....no he was only going to be there to make sure melissa got down safely to the stage........ whoa.......she was coming down our aisle.......and he was right there in front of us.....this was my chance to see her close up and touch her......

As the music started to tell of her arrival......he turned around and kept watching the stairs for her....(the amphitheater was all stairs to the stage) all of a sudden we saw her.....walking with a ecurity guard..... now I dont know what possessed me to do this......I just did......I walked up 2 steps to her......and stood right in front of her......and took one of her hands......she took my hand back...I looked directly at her......inches from me......and then she looked directly at me.........took my other hand.....(so now she was holding both of my hands).......I said......."oh melissa"(like ooooooohhhhhhh mmmmmmmmelllllllllllllliiissssssssssaaaaaaa) she smiled and me and said "hi" but not just hi but hhhhhiiiiiiiiiiii.........we stood there for like 3or 4 seconds..... then I let go of her hands and she continued on her way down to the stage......and I walked back to my seat......got there just about the time melissa passed our row.....and Nancy reached out and touched her side........ I walked back to Nancy and said........did you see that, she took my hands, she held my hands, she said hi to me........Nancy said " yes .......melissa actually stopped for a couple seconds , took your  hands, looked right at you and said hi".........so I knew it was not my imagination, she actually did that......and........she actually paid attention to me.......it was like no one else was around but me and her....... it was such a "moment".....it was me and melissa.....no one else was there....I didnt even see the security guard....melissa and i.......looking right at each other....holding hands....in the middle of the aisle....alone.....in the crowd......

Well, I was in heaven the rest of the night....... I dont know what possessed me to walk right up to her, not to even wait till she got to our row........but I am so glad I did....I was actually face to face with her.......inches from her face.......and she was holding both my hands......and she was looking at and talking to me.......just me........wow.........talk about an awesome experience...... and since she is only a couple inches taller than me.....we were looking at each other directly.....eye to eye.....face to face.......wow........... and.....what surprised me......and made me so happy.....she actually did this.......she did not try to get me out of the way to get to the stage.......she stopped to respond to me.....and the security guard stopped with her.......and it was just me and melissa for a few seconds.....and then she continued on her way.........

Everyone had to stay in their seats for most of the concert.....but since I was on the end of an aisle, I stepped out into the aisle right next to my row(although they tried a few times to get me back in the row.....along with a few others who stepped into the aisle) so I was able to see her directly in front for almost the entire show....... 

Oh a thing that happened during the concert.... melissa said that there were things stuck in her boot....magnet things, everything in her boot was pushed up towards the front of her boot and her foot was all squished....she wondered if she should take off her boot...everyone yelled.....take off the boot.....first she tried to hang onto someone to take her boot off but couldnt, then she sat down near the back of the stage.....took off her boot....she had white socks on....and pulled the stuff out of her boot, then put her boot back on and sang another song....but her boot was still bothering her....so.....she went back to the edge of the stage.....Tammy came out and took melissas boot off her to fix it for her, melissa came out and sang the next song with one boot and one sock... then after the song.....she went back to Tammy and Tammy put her boot back on her, all fixed....it was so cool..... 

Then on the last song before the encores....im the only one it was.........everyone started to go down to the stage......so I took Nancys hand and headed down to the stage.......well, it took a few minutes before I was able to work my way up to the stage too.....but I did........and after heal me, she came down the row to hold hands like she does.......well, the stage was kinda high(not as high as hershey though) but right next to the stage were the piles of cords for the instruments.......all along the front of the stage next to it on the floor......well, the cords stacked out 3 inches high.......so........I stood up on the cords.....on my toes and reached up to the stage as she came down.......she did take my hand......then as I reached up my other hand too.........she also took my other hand.......I couldnt believe it........twice in one night she was holding my hands......of course this time was not face to face......but this was what I was hoping to do in the beginning of the evening......before I knew what was going to happen when she came down the aisle.

What a night huh?

So.......on august 3 at 8:50 pm in canandaigua new york......I was face to face with melissa, holding hands with her, talking with her(well.....oh melissa, and hi.......are conversation) looking directly at each other..........wow wow wow.......... I just had to share this with you because I know you will appreciate it......... I am still in the clouds.....
