Hey all, after Angie's report on Frankfurt I thought I'd fill you in on Amsterdam. On the second night I had my mobile out for one of the songs to my partner so when Melissa started "If you want to" it was grabbed again. After the American gigs Bitey knew what was coming & beckoned Melissa to my phone, which she readily took. 

Now at this point I should tell you about my partner, she discovered MLE before me in Ireland ( blah-de-blah ........ that's a long story ! ) but unlike me she's not a fan ! ( ie, she thinks if an artist you like comes to Town you go see them once & it does you .. !!! ) 

So I'd already called her when her phone rang again ......... her name was on display so Melissa knew who she was talking to & that she was ringing Ireland said Hello, well my other half thought it was me just ringing again from the concert & started chatting, "Are you having a good time ?" she asked, well the crowd roared ..... now when Melissa asked that to the crowd my partner thought I'd put Bitey on the phone (I know ... an New York accent & a mid- west one ......... well it's hard to determine over here ) ..... so the next thing Melissa asked her was "Is Margaret a good time girl ?" ........... to which my other half replied "Well I hope not ! " & my other half told her I better not be! 

It was only when the voice on the phone said she was going to sing to her that the penny began to drop & with the first notes of "Hello .... yes that's what I said, Margaret is calling from her bed & wants to say hello" that the penny/cent/euro fell......... all my other half could do was laugh, which Melissa remarked upon ............ but if she only knew that this was one of the only people in the world who not really be excited but just think it was funny that she was on the phone! 

Well the diatribe went on, & safe to say for once Melissa wasn't met with a shrieking fan, which I think she kind of enjoyed ! 

It was a great night, & she's been ribbed ever since ............ her first concert is in London on Monday, so we can't wait.
