I would love for everyone to share my experience.  These souvenirs came from Melissa Etheridge's concert August 14, 2004 at Sam's Town Casino in Tunica, Mississippi.  What you will see is David Sutton's autograph (bass player sub for Mark), a concert set list, and a button of Melissa that I bought.

Also, at the show Matt and I got to speak briefly with Kenny Aronoff (drummer) and when we first spotted him (in the casino lobby) I waved and smiled and Matt waved, and Kenny (all at the same time) pointed at us with his finger and gave a killer smile and winked with his left eye.  Then, he proceeded to ask us for directions back to the arena.  Unfortunately, we got no autograph, but maybe next time.  We didn't approach him when we spotted him and I think he appreciated that since he was trying to make his way back to the arena where the bus was out back waiting for him.

Lastly, Matt and I got to hear the entire soundcheck without anyone running us off.  We quietly peeked in the doors to the arena while the guys were on stage and Philip was singing "Lucky."  Then, we heard someone shout to them that Melissa decided she wanted to come out and soundcheck.  So, there she came shortly, we got a peek at her during soundcheck and she sang "Mercy" (which she did not sing during the concert as you will see from the setlist), then she sang "Meet Me In the Dark."  And she proceeded to leave the stage after that and Kenny was the only one who stayed longer practicing and tuning his drums a bit by himself.  What a surprise it was for us to be hanging around when soundcheck began, and wow, getting to hear and secretly watch them through a side door.

Awesome show. One other thing, Melissa went out of her way to read my sign I brought for the band, that said, "Mark, Kenny, & Philip... Legendary."   It made my night.

Take care all,
Shelly
