MLE was glowing over her NY Times review today adding that she "would
be impossible to live with." she reminisced about her first NYT review
(which was horrible), so that Halloween she enlarged her review and
wore it as a costume. she went as a bad review!

MLE inserted a $2 word in one of her between song chats: pathos.
can't say i've ever heard her use that word in concert previously!
LOL....

in her intro to CTMW, she talked about performing at the Concert for
NYC. at first i thought she might break out "Born to Run," but it was
not to be. she mentioned how the mike went out just as she was going
into the first chorus of CTMW, and the audience pitched in and sang along
loudly with her. it turned out that the crew was setting up for The
Who and a stage hand unplugged her mike because he was setting it up for
Roger Daltry's use. she said that the audience singing loudly during
CTMW at the Concert for NYC is one of her favorite memories.

unlike last night, we only sat down for How Would I Know. at last
night's show, *security* asked us to sit down twice (Meet Me in the Dark
and This Is Not Goodbye).

oddly enough, there was a bit of a fight in the back row of the center
section near the beginning of How Would I Know. the entire back row
stood up, and suddenly several security guards descended upon the scene,
flashlights in hand. i never could figure out what the cause was but i
would bet a small sum that alcohol was involved. <g>

this was the first night of the 3 that we were actually in our original
seats. we were pretty close to the aisle which helped for the rush.
our initial attempt at the beginning of I Run for Life was thwarted so
we had to go back to our seats. but once BMSW started, we blew past
security and ended up in the far right 2 spots against the stage. i was
leaning against some equipment that was draped with black cloth, so it
was sorta like having a hammock for my ass. comfy! <g>

we had lots of interaction with Fritz since we were on his side of the
stage. he gave both of us a stick at the end of the show.

Philip's been doing some recognizable songs during a few of his BMSW
intros. at the 3rd Chicago show, he started with "Tequila" and segued to
"Little Drummer Boy". tonight, he did a snippet of "Yellow Submarine,"
which we sang along loudly to.

a couple of unusual musical moments...there was a bit of a skip in the
Ella Jenkins' sample during Tuesday Morning. MLE made some faces at
Fritz and even giggled a bit. at end of the song, she sang the closing
"on the 44" lyric rather than play the sample, which i don't think i've
ever seen her do before. in LTWID, MLE usually sings "there are so
many others" by inserting a pause between "many" and "others" but tonight,
i think she got a little distracted and sang "others, others" instead.

had a fabulous time in NYC (even with the heat and humidity)!
