A THANKSGIVING MESSAGE
Today we gather together to celebrate life and to honor our relationships with each other and all the beings in the great circle of life. We bring our minds together as one as we give greetings and thanks to each other as People.
The Earth Mother
We are grateful to you, our Mother, the Earth. You bring us guidance to bury
our differences as people so we may celebrate our Oneness with you and with
each other. We desire only the Truth. We are grateful for times we spend on
the Earth, breathing our love for you.

The Waters
We are grateful to all the Waters of the world for birthing all life and for
storing and holding life. We are all born of the waters of the moon and
water returns to us as rain. With one mind, we send greetings and thanks to
the spirit of Water.
Now our minds are one.
The Fish
We turn our minds to all the Fish life in the water. We are grateful to you
for your beauty and plentifulness and for sharing your dance of life with
us. We send you our greetings and thanksgiving.
Now our minds are one.
The Plants
We turn toward the vast fields of Plant life. We know you sustain many life
forms and we express our gratefulness to you when we take time to learn who
you are and where those places are that you belong on this Earth.
Now our minds are one.
The Animals
We gather our minds together to send greetings and thanks to all the Animal
life in the world. We are grateful to you for nurturing the wild places and
for showing us how to live harmoniously with the Earth and with each other.
Thank you for the lessons you bring to us when you show yourselves to us.
Now our minds are one.
The Trees
We now turn our thoughts to the Trees. We are grateful to you when we notice
your beauty and growth and when we protect and touch you and help you to
grow. With one mind we greet and thank the Tree life.
Now our minds are one.
The Birds
We put our minds together as one and thank all the Birds who move and
fly about over our heads. We are grateful for your place in the balance and
for your vast numbers. We acknowledge your gift for nest-building; and thank
you for sharing your songs with us as a reminder to listen to each other. We
pray for continued appropriate plentifulness for you.
Now our minds are one.
The Four Winds
We are thankful to the powers we know as the Four Winds. Thank you for
connecting us to the great web of life through the air we breathe, for with
each breath, we breathe in the air that connects us all and we breathe out
positive energies to our Universe. We are grateful to you for our
inspiration.
Now our minds are one.
The Thunderers
We are grateful to you, Thunder Beings, Grandfathers of the West, for
awakening the freshness and purity of our waters and for making your
impressions known upon the Earth. As we we honor ourselves, we honor you and
send you our greetings and thanksgiving.
Now our minds are one.
The Sun
We send greetings and thanks to the Sun, and we express our gratitude to you
for your warmth and compassion and for enveloping us with your support. You
warm places that are cool. With one mind, we send greetings and thanks to
the Sun.

Grandmother Moon
We put our minds together and give thanks to our oldest Grandmother, the
Moon, who lights the nighttime sky. We know you as a cool, patient, feminine
presence that sees without judgment. We honor you by seeing from this place
of no-judgment and by coming to a place of inner balance. With one mind, we
send greetings and thanks to you today.
Now our minds are one.
The Stars
We give thanks to the Stars who are spread across the sky like jewelry. We
are grateful to you for holding our hopes and dreams and for reflecting
those dreams back to us. Thank you for your help in transformation; we know
we wouldn't see you without the darkness. With our minds gathered together
as one, we send greetings and thanks to all the Stars.
Now our minds are one.
The Enlightened Teachers
We gather our minds to greet and thank the enlightened Teachers who have
come to help throughout the ages. When we forget how to live in harmony,
they remind us of the way we were instructed to live as people. With one
mind we drum our thanksgivings to you; the feathers on our drums are to
honor your teachings.
Now our minds are one.
The Creator
As we turn our thoughts to the Creator, we send greetings and thanks for
all the gifts of Creation. Through your guidance we go beyond the darkness
to the light. We honor all vibrations and thus, you, Creator. You are
present to each of us so that we may carry your blessings to others. For all
the love that is around us, we gather our minds together as one and send our
choicest words of greetings and thanks to Creator.
Now our minds are one.
We now arrive at the place where we end our words. It was not our intention to leave anything out. If something was forgotten, we leave it to each individual to send such greetings and thanks in their own way.
