Ok...Sus and I have talked on line for years, but were always too far to meet. Since Toronto is 4 hours for both of us this will be the perfect opportunity. I was looking forward to meeting her, Val and Joey.

Then she had to tell me I was going to meet Melissa!!
This has been a dream for a long time, since my first show in 89 in Detroit!!

Anyway we meet at the motel, visit for awhile... then start to get ready for the show. Thank Goodness Val is a foo foo girl too, as she leant me the perfect belt for my outfit. Even fixed my shirt around it so I was feeling good. Val has on a really cute pair of pants on, we all know Tammy would love.

Val and Skye discover they have the exact same colour eyes!! lol. I know Sus took a pic with Joey but mine didn't turn out.

These two are just too cute!!

I also met Cetniv and Dream there and the kids.... one of them was also going to meet her. A surprise for her too!! How sweet is that?

Nervous... omg yes... what do I say?? We head out to the venue arriving early to get our passes. I open my tickets and I have 3rd row... alllright! I have been to this venue before so know the buses are out back. SKye and I go back... as his dream is to meet Philip and Kenny. He knows Kenny won't be there. First we see sweet Mark... our shy one. He is very nice to us, sitting for a pic with SKye and then Skye takes one of us. Later in the concert during Mark's solo, he says I can feel the floor vibrating!! I try to explain to him about the bass and he is digging this. He is also hoping to meet Melissa but I told him she was already in the venue....

So we wait for a bit and Skye talks to the security gurard about his last concert, and telling him he is waiting for Philip. The security guard is trying to find someone to get Philip!! What a nice guy... so we take his pic too.

It is time to get around front to go into see Melissa. I am trying not to be nervous. We go into this room.... in she comes. She talks to Val and remarks how much she has grown and asks her age...( she has become a little lady in the last couple of years. )

Then it is my turn... We talk about the first show I went to where there were waitresses and tables ... she remembers and finds it funny. I got a HUGE hug, , we talk a bit more and she signs a pic for me, and then signs my jacket, on the arm.

About this time I see Philip come in, he says hey and says hold on, I will be right back. He had a few people to see. One being a guy who later told me he made Philip's new green guitar... he recognized me from Philip's fansite.

Philip comes over and gives me a hug.... I said I haven't talked to you since last tour, I am surprised you remember me... even though it was 13 shows front row everytime!! We also met him quite a bit before or after those shows. He says "you have such unusual eyes they are just beautiful.... GULP... I tell him my grandson is in awe of him, he asks where he is... and says go get him.

The girls were watching him for me, and had just told him to make a wish and it might come true. Well you can guess what he wished.... and then someone runs to get him. He is smiling ear to ear. He tells him he wants to take guitar and drum lessons, but that he plays travel soccer too.

Does he look happy or what??

It is time to go down and get in our seats. I see lots of old freinds, Adia, Eagle and Golfie, I am sitting right behind Ridger..... I know there are more who I will probably remember later.

As soon as they rush the stage we step into the second row. SKye stands on the seat and is clapping for the whole concert plus a few screams I didn't expect!! lol

Well Skye learned a lot at the concert from Melissa's songs. He knows all about gays as I have lots of friends who are gay, and he is close too... when he heard her talk about people not recognizing the hero on the flight on 9/11.... he said that is awful!! I told him I agreed. When Melissa started talking about being able to marry here, he was mad that her country didn't enjoy the same freedom. From a child who has a less tainted few of the world.... he couldn't understand the stigma of being gay.

We had talked about scarecrow and I told him earlier the story behind it. He was excited for her to sing it. He kept asking is this scarecrow? So when the trilogy began I told him that these are her songs about the prejudice. He raised his hands waving with everyone else. .. hopefully he will spread this to his little friends.

We had the dry erase board so he asked for my favourite NTG..... she looked at the set list and said it isn't on it but.... Then he requested his personal favouite Kiss me, which we just sceam to in the car. Melissa changed the set list to incude both our favourites.... How lucky are we?

He told me not to talk during Kiss me as he was singing away!! lol He told me his hands were sore and his feet as he was bouncing away on the chair.... I told him to sit for a bit... this didn't last for half a song and he was on his feet again. He kept looking back for Val and Sus and waving. He said Sus has the phone up she remembered to call Kel!! lolol At the end he asked me write a Thanks to the band.

I told him at the end of the concert Melissa high fives everyone at the stage.... he said oh we should have went to the stage. Adia is in front of us at the stage and offers to hold him up so he can get a high five too!! Thanks Adia. When Melissa gets to Skye she thanks him for coming to the show!!!! ))) This is his second show ( as last tour I told him one a tour) and she has talked to him both times. I told him how lucky he was. He said I know!!

He had held up a sign earlier saying PIC me PHILIP and Philip had given him a thumbs up and a nod. So he was waiting for his pic..... well I think Philip forgot.... but he didn't get upset... I said he has soo much to think about on stage. I told him he would get one.... he said I want Philip to give it to me. Next tour then. Although when he hears that there is a show the next night in Detroit, he is begging me to take him!!! I told him that the fan tickets are sold out and we wouldn't be close to the stage that Philip could see him. Good thing or it wouldn't have taken much to talk me into going to it either!!! I am dreaming of LA... lolol... trying to figure out how to combine in with a visit to my aunt's in San Jose... but it doubles the price of airfare...... damn!!

A lot of very nice people were asking Chainsaw for a pic from Philip for him. As I am sure all Chainsaw hears after the show is his name being yelled and blah blah blah... lol He did slide a MLE pic over which Skye scooped up in a flash.

Now his wish is to get Philip's pic!! He wants to know when the next tour is.... I tell him usually every two years, and especially with Melissa and Tammy having the twins. He is still hoping for one next year!! He is a true fan as he didn't want the concert and that special feeling to end.... I told him they would be back for the encore.

After the show, I got him a Melissa t since he wears my Bon Jovi one when he sleeps over.... but he insisted on taking it home. I expect him to be exhausted but no he is pumped and walks around with us looking for ice cream. He tells me I will have to fix his shadowbox from the last show since now he has an autograph from PHilip, a pic with him and Mark... and another pic!!

When we are laying in bed that night.... all he could talk about was the show.... Philip, Melissa and Mark.... sorry Fritz but he really missed Kenny!! We fell asleep with lots of our dreams answered.

Thanks(((((((( Sus))))))))).... if not for you mine would not have been realized. Not only did I get to meet and talk to Melissa, I have made some great friends. Val and Joey are such nice kids.... and treated Skye as a good freind. So did Cet and Dream and their kids.
